Arrests as disco brawl escalates

A mass brawl in Amsterdam’s Rembrandtplein nightlife hotspot on Wednesday night ended in the arrest of three women and nine men, ANP reports.

When a fight broke out between two groups of visitors to an un-named disco after a row between a man and a woman, bouncers ejected those involved.
The fight continued in the street and escalated until around 100 people were attacking each other and the police. Two police dogs were set on the crowd – biting four – and police charged with batons before making the arrests.
