Princess Ariane, the three week-old daughter of crown prince Willem-Alexander and princess Máxima, will remain in hospital for a week while being treated for a bronchial tube infection, the state information service RVD said on Wednesday.

The princess, born on April 10, was taken into hospital on Wednesday morning with a suspected lung infection. Her condition is described as stable.
The princess was admitted to the Leiden University Medical Centre which has a children’s intensive care unit, should this become necessary, the state information service RVD said.
