Cocu: two weeks to decide on Aussie offer
Australian media are reporting that Dutch football captain Phillip Cocu has been given two weeks to decide whether he wants to sign with Sydney FC, which plays in Australia’s A league.
The 36-year-old midfielder, who has been at Eindhoven’s PSV since 2004, has reportedly been offered a one-year contract worth over A$1m. Clubs in the US and Qatar are also reported to have bid for Cocu.
