Van der Moolen sales slump in US
Stockbroker Van der Moolen said in an interim statement that US turnover has fallen 56% to €7.4m in the first three months of this year. The company has been hit by a new trading system on the New York Stock Exchange.
Van der Moolen has already reduced its workforce there by one third. Sales in Europe, however, were up 71% to €32.8m compared with the final quarter of 2006.
