Tax office gave wrong advice on digital ID
The tax office was wrong to advise people who had lost their digital identity code (DigiD) to use someone else’s, a home affairs ministry spokeswoman said on Wednesday.
NRC.next reported that people had been told by tax officials to use a friend or neighbour’s code in an effort to beat the April 6 tax return deadline. The codes are supposed to be strictly personal.
