Randstad books Q1 profit rise of 49%
Temporary employment agency Randstad booked a 49% rise in net profit to €71.5m in the first three months of this year. Turnover was up 16% to €2.1bn, despite flat sales in the North American market.
Chairman Ben Noteboom said he was particularly pleased with the 40% turnover growth booked in Germany, where new rules on temporary labour were brought in two years ago.
