PSV lose 3-0 to Liverpool, cup hopes over

Liverpool dominated PSV to win 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final in Eindhoven on Tuesday. PSV coach Ronald Koeman said the defeat appeared to end the Dutch club’s European football campaign this season.

‘If I told my squad to believe they can still advance, then I don’t belong on this planet,’ Koeman told reporters after the match. ‘This result hurts and gives us no opportunity to do anything next week in Liverpool.’
The second leg of the quarter final takes place next Wednesday in Liverpool.
Bookmakers William Hill have installed Liverpool as 11-4 favourites to win the Champions League, Reuters reported. PSV are now rated as the 200-1 outsiders to win the competition.
