Police break law on working hours

Nearly every police force in the country breaks the law on working hours, according to a report by the labour inspectorate.

Police officers regularly work long shifts and do not have enough time off in between, the inspectors say.
Military police officers (ME) and arrest teams are most likely to be too long on the job. In total, 4,000 officers worked too long and the inspectors issued 27 fines.
