Drug runners from Belgium and France who visit the Netherlands by car are increasingly swallowing their merchandise to avoid detection, according to Algemeen Dagblad on Tuesday.

This has long been the preferred method when travelling by plane.
Police in Brabant recently arrested a Frenchman with five grams of cocaine and nine grams of heroin in his body. He had packed the drugs in sandwich bags.
