Antonov steps down as deputy chairman

Rouman Antonov, founder of Amsterdam based gear-box maker Antonov, is leaving the company’s board, where he is deputy chairman, but will remain involved with the company as a technical advisor.


Frenchman Antonov launched the company in 1991 and oversaw its IPO in 1997. The company, which is bourse listed in Amsterdam, has so far failed to get its products into significant production.
A second supervisory board member, David Bovell, is also leaving. An Antonov spokesman told news agency Betten both departures had been planned for some time.
