The health council has urged the government to decide quickly if four new vaccinations should be included in the state-funded injection package.

Vaccinations against chicken pox, cervical cancer, hepatitis B and the rotavirus which causes diarrhoea in young children are on the list for inclusion. A vaccination against shingles for older people is also being considered.
