Massive investment needed for fire safety

An investment of €880m is needed for fire safety measures at all government buildings, according to the initial results of an investigation by the government buildings’ service which has been leaked to RTL Nieuws.

The fire safety review, which will take some time to complete, follows the fire which broke out at the Schiphol detention centre in October 2005, killing 11 people.
