Positive support for new cabinet
Some 60% of voters are either positive or extremely positive about the Netherlands’ new centre-left government, according to a poll by Maurice de Hond. Some 86% of Christian Democrat and 87% of ChristenUnie supporters back the cabinet, while 69% of PvdA (Labour) voters are in favour.
Of the opposition parties, only people who voted for GroenLinks think the new cabinet is a positive move – 73% of GroenLinks voters back the new government. Just 35% of Socialist and 29% of anti-immigration PVV voters are pleased with the centre-left grouping.
New ministers André Rouvoet (family and youth) and Ernst Hirsch Ballin (justice) enjoy the most confidence.
