More hours for home helps, fewer clients
The number of people using home help and home nursing services fell by 12,000 to just over half a million in 2005, according to the latest figures from the government statistics office CBS.
This reduction is remarkable considering the period from 1999 to 2004 saw a 22% increase, said the CBS. Despite the reduction in clients, the total amount of care hours in 2005 rose by 1%, the CBS said.
