Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport was put under extra security today on the advice of the national terrorism coordinator following a letter threat.
According to BNR Nieuwsradio certain cars and people with an Islamic appearance were being searched in and around the airport. There are also unconfirmed reports that the police are on the look out for a ‘car bomb’ with German number plates. No delays have been reported at the airport.
