Directors angry at cabinet’s pay plans

Dutch company directors are angry at plans by the new cabinet to involve work councils in determining the level of their salaries.


The centre-left coalition says that employee works councils should be able to make recommendations on directors pay. ‘The cabinet is turning the clock back 35 yeas with this sort of anti-director policy,’ said Willem Hollander, chairman of the directors’ organisation NCD.
