Significant progress in coalition talks

Talks on forming a new government have made ‘significant progress’ Prime Minister Jan Pieter Balkenende said on Friday, after three days of negotiations on a country estate near Hilversum.


‘We have made enormous advances and we have reached agreement on a number of issues,’ said PvdA Labour leader Wouter Bos, without giving details. The talks will continue next week in The Hague
