The Netherlands is the fourth-worst country in the world for hosting websites which spread trojans, viruses and other dangerous software, according to internet security company Sophos. The US, China and Russia head the list with almost 75% of the sites between them.

Sophos said the Dutch fouth place, with almost 5%, was notable. There are some internet service providers in the Netherlands which emphasise freedom of speech and allowed websites to publish material which would not be acceptable elsewhere, said Sophos’ Graham Cluley.
The Netherlands also hosted a considerable number of hacking websites, Cluley said.
