Leisure time spent behind a screen
The Dutch spend a third of their free time – roughly five hours a day – watching TV, surfing the internet, listening to music, reading and making phone calls according to research by TV advertising foundation SPOT.
Adults spend just 12 minutes a day outside and 12 minutes a day doing some form of sport, the researcher said.
