Jumbo profits from supermarket expansion
Independent supermarket group Jumbo saw net profit rise 20% in 2006 to €972m, the family-run firm said on Monday. The increase is largely due to the opening of 18 new stores, bringing the group total to 94. Organic growth was 4%, one percentage point up on 2005.
