Cinema visits up in 2006
The number of cinema visits in the Netherlands rose 9% last year to over 22.5 million, according to cinema association NVB. Top film was Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest with 1.5 million tickets sold while Dutch film Zwartboek came in third, attracting almost one million people.
Dutch-language films accounted for 10% of cinema visits, down from 13% in 2005.
