ASML has record sales in 2006

Microchip-equipment maker ASML said on Wednesday it had booked a record €3.6bn turnover in 2006 – 42% up on sales in 2005. The company said it had profited from increased demand for machines to make memory chips for mobile phones, digital cameras and MP3 players.


ASML said it had won market share from its most important competitors such as Nikon and Canon.
