Arriva faces second ultimatum over service

The province of Zuid-Holland has become the second to issue private bus company, Arriva, an ultimatum over poor services, ANP reports. The province said the service in Dordrecht, which Arriva has been running since the beginning of the year, was ‘unacceptably bad’, with 15% of services failing to operate.

Last week, the provincial government of Friesland criticised public transport groups Arriva and Connexxion for poor train and bus services in several areas. The province has given the firms until April 15 to sort out the mess. Groningen province has already fined Arriva for its bad train service.
