Although Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport produces less noise than comparable airports in London, Paris and Frankfurt, more locals complain about disturbance than in other cities, says a report by the spatial planning office RPB. The report recommends that government policy should focus on reducing the disturbance caused by Schiphol rather than noise levels.
