Public broadcasters have been given quotas to increase the exposure of the country’s multicultural community in tv programmes. For example, under the new guidelines, seven episodes of the legal soap Keyzer & De Boer will have to reflect a multicultural theme and 10% of guests on the spiritual talk show Schepper & Co must come from an ethnic minority.
