Public sector chiefs earn more than PM

The income of 1,500 people working in the semi-public sector – such as education and housing corporations – was higher than the Dutch prime minister’s salary of €158,000 last year, according to home affairs ministry figures. Generous golden handshake payments account for the high income of one-third of this group.
