A majority of MPs in the new parliament are in favour of plans to introduce legislation to make it easier to punish football hooligans and impose stadium bans.


Labour (PvdA) and Liberal (VVD) MPs said yesterday they are drawing up a joint bill to crack down on football thugs. The Christian Democrats are already working on similar plans with the national football association KNVB.
