Limits placed on detention on boats
Failed asylum seekers who are waiting to be deported cannot be held for longer than six months on two prison boats in Rotterdam port, judges ruled today. The judges said there was not enough room and privacy for the occupants. Campaigners claim over 100 asylum seekers have been held on the boats for longer than six months.
