Financial services sector criticised
Financial services watchdog AFM has criticised banks, insurers and advisors for providing customers with poor information about their products.
New laws governing adverts, offers and conditions are not being properly met, the AFM says, adding that it has raised the issue with sector organisations. The financial services sector is also under fire from consumer groups for lack of transparency and too-high costs attached to some mortgages and savings schemes.
