Dutchman Jacques Bettelheim won last night’s Groot Dictee der Nederlandse Taal (see Alphabet Soup yesterday) with just five mistakes. Bettleheim is the first Dutch national to win the joint Dutch-Flemish competition in years. The 60 participants made an average of 31 mistakes each.
