Design fault may be cause of derailments

Three of the four derailments on the Rotterdam to The Hague light-rail line were probably due to a design fault with the tracks, Rotterdam transport department technical advisor Arie Overbeek says in today’s AD. The official report into the derailments, in which 17 people were slightly injured, is due next week.
