Retail sales up 5%
Dutch retail sales rose 5% in September according to latest figures from national statistics office CBS.
In particular, food sales were up, the CBS said. Supermarkets saw 6% higher turnover while specialty food shops increased sales by 3%. Retail sales have risen throughout 2006, after three years of decline.
