Energy merger less likely on NMa concerns
The possibility of a merger between Holland’s biggest energy firms Nuon and Essent seems to have faded with yesterday’s news that competition authority NMa still sees the Dutch energy market as national and would therefore impose strict conditions on any such alliance.
Last month the media suggested the two were on ‘the verge’ of a merger but both sides appear less enthusiastic now.
