Green light for Ahold takeovers
Competition authority NMa has given supermarket group Ahold and its subsidiary Schuitema the green light to take over 29 Konmar superstores from rival Laurus.
Jumbo is to take over a further 12 stores. However, the NMa has ordered Ahold and Schuitema to hand over a number of Albert Heijn and C1000 supermarkets to its competitors in certain areas.
