Ukrainian president Zelenskyy in the Netherlands for talks

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy in in the Netherlands on Thursday to give a talk in The Hague and to visit the International Criminal Court which is investigating possible war crimes in Ukraine.

News agency ANP also reports that Zelenskyy will meet prime minister Mark Rutte and defence minister Kaijsa Olongren for talks. Rutte has met Zelenskyy previously in Brussels and Kyiv and he has also spoken directly to both houses of parliament via a video link.

The president arrived on Wednesday evening in the Dutch government jet from Finland where he had also been holding talks.

There have been rumours that the president will attend this evening’s Remembrance Day commemorations on the Dam in central Amsterdam at 8pm but that is unconfirmed.
