Two men have been killed in Noord Holland after their car left the road and ended up in a canal near Middenmeer, police said on Sunday.
The car was spotted by two cyclists at around 6.20am. They alerted the emergency services who sent in divers.
The two men have been identified as a 24-year-old Polish national and a 25-year-old man from Hungary.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
