The tax office expects to be able to levy taxes over some €30bn which has been placed in tax havens abroad, twice earlier estimates, the Volkskrant reports on Wednesday.
Tax minister Jan Kees de Jager wants to raise at least €200m in taxes on trusts, which he will use to offset tax cuts on inheritances.
The money being targetted is held in offshore trusts for some of the country’s richest families, the paper says.
