Former Labour minister up for top UN job
Former Labour leader and government minister Ad Melkert has been formally put forward for the top job at the United Nations development organisation UNDP, the NRC reported on Thursday, quoting political sources.
Melkert has been number two at the UNDP since March 2006 and was social affairs minister from 1994 to 1998.
