Jobless plan results unclear, says minister

It is not at all clear if the €2bn made available each year by the government to help welfare claimants into work is having any effect, social affairs minister Piet Hein Donner is due to say later today.

Donner is due to present an evaluation of the government’s efforts to get people back into jobs this afternoon.
According to the Telegraaf, the evaluation shows that in around 40% of cases welfare claimants find a new job, but it is not clear if that is as a result of the government re-entry project.
