Flying the European flag
Over 150 Dutch local councils have so far ordered a European flag from staunch pro-European MEP Toine Manders, who is paying for the flags out of his own pocket.
Manders has also registered the slogan ‘Proud to be a European’ and is working on an alternative European song competition and football tournament to boost pro-EU sentiment.
