No tenders for €168m worth of projects

Government ministries last year broke EU rules and failed to place tenders for contracts totalling €168m, according to an audit office report.

The figure is more than €43m higher than the audit office’s original estimate made in early August. MPs are due to debate the issue on Thursday.
