Dutchman questioned over Maddie
Portuguese police investigating the disappearance of British toddler Madeleine McCann yesterday questioned a 61-year-old Dutchman who runs an animal crematorium in the Algarve, the Telegraaf reports.
The paper says Eef Hoos was questioned about possible contacts with the girl’s parents Gary and Kate McCann. He repeatedly denied having met the couple, the paper says. Hoos told British reporters that he had closed his crematorium down in March because of complaints about the smell.
Hoos served time in jail in the Netherlands for arson and bomb attacks, the Telegraaf says.
