Unions and employers in the government’s SER advisory council have urged the new cabinet to do all it can to increase support for the EU.
Employers group VNO-NCW said the advantages brought by the EU – such as greater economic stability, prosperity and employment – need to be acknowledged.
At the moment workers believe the EU stands for ‘the destruction of social rights and job security,’ said Agnes Jongerius, chairwoman of the FNV trade union federation.
