Storm passes with few problems so far
The severe storm predicted by Dutch weather forecasters for Thursday morning has passed with relatively little effect, news agency ANP reported at lunchtime. The storm had been set to reach maximum force by midday but the predicted gusts of up to 120 kph had by then failed to appear.
There were some delays for air travellers at Schiphol airport and ferry crossings to the Wadden islands were disrupted. Some minor damage to buildings was reported
