Ahold sells Polish supermarkets
Ahold is to sell its Polish supermarket interests to French competitor Carrefour for €375m. Ahold operates 179 supermarkets, 15 superstores and four petrol stations in Poland. The sale is part of a far-reaching restructuring programme. Ahold is also selling its Slovakian and US interests.
