Kees van Dongen

The Dutch painter Kees van Dongen (1877-1968) was one of the Fauves and became famous for his sensuous, sometimes garish portraits of doe-eyed women. This exhibition features his best works, including Modjesko, soprano singer, paintings inspired by the Folies-Bergères in Paris and a nude of his wife Guus.

Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam until January 23.
