Going South
The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam boasts an important collection of works by 16th and early 17th century masters from South Holland. These artists took their inspiration from Italy, either through travelling there or by interpreting what they heard about the country. The exhibition is chronological beginning with the last generation of Flemish primitives like Quinten Metsys and Adriaan Isenbrandt and ending with works by Rubens, Jordaens and Van Dyck.
Bonnefantenmuseum, Maastricht until June 6.
