Two companies which used to produce animal porn films are hoping to sue the government for millions of euros for loss of earnings, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.

The companies are claiming damages for lost income since the ban on producing animal porn in the Netherlands was introduced in 2010.
They claim they have lost millions of euros because of the ban and that most of their films were made before the draft legislation was drawn up in 2007.
Topscore and Studio Martis are said by the paper to be responsible for 60% of the world’s animal porn production.
The firms are hoping use the civil courts to force a settlement.
