MPs want answers on teenage murder

MPs have called junior justice minister Fred Teeven to explain the circumstances in which a 25-year-old man who had sought psychiatric help to control his aggression came to stab a 15-year-old girl to death.

The girl’s body was found bloody and naked in a street in The Hague at the weekend. The suspect, known as Stanley A, reported to the police shortly afterwards and has since confessed to the murder.
According to RTL news, the man had asked for help to deal with his aggressive rages in October. He had also served three years in a youth psychiatric prison in 2002 for other violent offences. According to some reports, he may suffer from Asperger syndrome.
