EU appoints Dutch diplomats to top foreign affairs jobs

Dutch diplomat Roeland van de Geer has been named the head of the EU's delegation to South Africa, considered one of the top jobs in the new EU foreign affairs set up.
Van Geer is a former Dutch ambassador to Mozambique and Afghanistan and the EU's special representative to the African Great Lakes region.
The head of the EU's delegation to Lebanon is to be Dutch woman Angelina Eichhorst.
The EU's foreign affairs minister Catherine Ashton announced 28 diplomatic postings on Wednesday.
